The 7-1 76ers bring the league’s No. 4 power index into a clash with No. 3 Detroit, and Tyrese Maxey’s scoring surge is the headline matchup.
Philadelphia visits Detroit on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. ET, with the 76ers at 7-1 and the Pistons at 6-1 in a matchup of the power index’s No. 4 and No. 3 teams. Tyrese Maxey has scored 233 points in eight games, while Cade Cunningham has 166 points and 50 assists in seven for Detroit. With Jalen Duren listed out, Detroit’s interior defense faces a major test against Joel Embiid, who has 111 points and 55 rebounds in six games. The Pistons’ ability to contain Embiid and keep Maxey from dictating the tempo could decide whether their slightly better 100.3 points allowed per game holds up against Philadelphia’s 110.9 points per game.
