Winnipeg and Vancouver meet with both teams near the bottom of the power index and little room to let another skid grow.

The Jets host the Canucks Thursday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. ET at Canada Life Centre, with Winnipeg at 5-8-3 and Vancouver at 3-13-1; they rank 29th and 31st in the power index, respectively. Winnipeg snapped a four-game losing run with a 5-4 win over Montréal, while Vancouver has lost three straight. Kyle Connor’s 12 goals in 15 games give the Jets a clear scoring focal point, while Elias Pettersson leads Vancouver with 17 points in 30 games. Shot volume could decide it: Vancouver’s shots-on-goal differential is -9.8 per game, compared with Winnipeg’s -1.6, so the Canucks need to close that gap to support their attack.
