Chicago brings the better record and hotter streak, but Seattle’s stronger power rating sets up a telling Week 8 test at Lumen Field.

At 5-2 and riding two straight wins, Chicago visits 4-3 Seattle, which ranks fifth in the Power Index against the Bears’ 13th-place mark; the Seahawks have won two of their last five and need a home victory to narrow the standings gap. Chicago’s ground game is the first test: the Bears average 154.3 rushing yards per game, with D’Andre Swift carrying 476 yards and seven touchdowns, while Seattle allows 89.4 rushing yards per game. On the other side, Sam Darnold has thrown eight touchdowns and eight interceptions, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s 867 receiving yards and eight touchdowns meet a Chicago defense allowing 241.3 passing yards per game. Seattle’s 109.4 net yards per game in the Power Index metrics tops Chicago’s 77.3, but the Seahawks must contain the run and protect the ball to counter the Bears’ hotter streak.
