Portland seized control with a 59-42 first half, powered by Deni Avdija’s relentless trips to the line.
Portland built its cushion quarter by quarter, opening with a 27-18 edge before stretching it with a 32-24 second period. Deni Avdija led the charge with 19 points, making 10 of 11 free throws, while Damian Lillard added 12. Utah’s Darryn Peterson had 11, but Keyonte George went 1-for-7 from the field and Lauri Markkanen 1-for-6 as the Jazz fell behind. After the break, watch whether Utah can find more efficient offense and slow Avdija, or Portland can preserve its 17-point advantage.
