One point separates the teams as Ottawa visits Vegas, which is trying to stop a three-game skid.
Vegas has 17 points to Ottawa’s 16, setting up a tight early-season test at T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights have lost three straight, while the Senators have won three of their last five and own an 8-4-0 record. The marquee matchup is Jack Eichel, with 19 points in 13 games, against Ottawa’s Tim Stützle, who has 16 points in 12. Ottawa averages 16.7 blocks per game to Vegas’ 13.2, but the deciding test may be whether Vegas can solve Linus Ullmark, whose .944 save percentage leads Ottawa’s goalie group.
